STEP-BY-STEP HELP
1. Access the map at http://mapview.memphistn.gov
2. Zoom and Pan– There are several ways to find a location. You can browse the map with the pan and zoom controls in the tool bar or Navigation Panel.

3. Search Tools (Find Address/Intersection) – To perform a more precise search you can find a specific address or intersection using the search tools panel.
a. Locate the Search Tools Panel in the toolbox on the left.
b. If the Find Address and Find Intersection options are not visible, click the down arrow on the Search Tools panel to expand it. You can also hit the double right arrow to undock the panel and have it float above the map.

c. Click Find Address and enter an address in the Address text box.

d. Click Find Address and enter an address in the Address text box and click Find Address.

e. Any matching results will be displayed with a match score. Select the location(s) that you want to view and click the Zoom To button. The map will pan and zoom to your selection(s) automatically and display a star at the selected location(s).
4. Quick Search – You can also search objects on the map using the Quick Search panel.
a. Locate the Quick Search Panel in the toolbox on the left.
b. If the Quick Search options are not visible, click the down arrow on the Search Tools panel to expand it. You can also hit the double right arrow to undock the panel and have it float above the map.
c. From the dropdown, choose the data layer you want to search and type in the text box below the dropdown. For example to search for the City Council District 4, first select City Council District and type 4 in the text box below. Click the Lookup button.
[TIP – if you don’t know what value to search for, leave the text box blank and see some example results]

d. Any matching results will be listed below the Clear Graphics button with radio buttons. Select the result you would like to see using the radio button, and click the Map Selected button. The map will pan and zoom to your selection and highlight it with a star or polygon.

[TIP – Don’t forget you can use the Clear Graphics button to take off any previously mapped searches.]
