HIDE AND
SHOW LAYERS
STEP-BY-STEP HELP
1. Access the map at http://mapview.memphistn.gov
2. Customize Your Map – The Map Contents panel allows you to hide and slow map elements to create a custom map that meets your needs.
a. If the Map Contents options are not visible, click the down arrow on the Map Contents panel to expand it. You can also hit the double right arrow to undock the panel and have it float above the map.

b. To hide or show a specific set of content from the map contents, simply check or uncheck the related checkbox. You can also expand the group to see the individual elements and their symbols used on the map.

3. The Graphics Layer – When you see a star that identifies a property, or an area such as a voting district that is highlighted, this is happening in what is called the Graphics Layer. You can remove these features two ways. The first is to simply uncheck the Graphics layer in the Map Contents panel as described in step 2. You will also notice that some tools will allow you to “Clear Graphics”. For example, on the Quick Search panel, you can hit the “Clear Graphics” button before you begin to clear any previously found locations that were highlighted on the map.
